El nuevo Seat León Ecomotive, que inicia su comercialización ahora en febrero desde 19.450 euros, marca un nuevo hito para la compañÃa española. Si habitualmente la marca catalana sorprende con nuevas versiones deportivas que potencian el espÃritu dinámico de la marca, en esta ocasión se trata de una variante más de la familia Ecomotive, caracterizada por su orientación ecológica. El León Ecomotive es escrupulosamente respetuoso con el medio ambiente gracias a unos registros de emisiones lÃderes en su segmento cifrados en sólo 99 g por km de CO 2 .
Sus consumos son igualmente sorprendentes ya que se contenta con 3,8 litros de media a los 100 km, haciendo de la eficiencia y el ahorro su bandera. Estos brillantes logros tecnológicos y mecánicos se deben a un conjunto de estudiadas medidas para obtener la máxima optimización energética posible. En el desarrollo de esta versión, los ingenieros del Centro Técnico de Seat, en Martorell -uno de los complejos de I+D más importantes de España, con más de 1.000 ingenieros- focalizaron todos sus esfuerzos en lograr una elevada eficiencia pero sin recortar la deportividad estética de este modelo ni tampoco reduciendo sus prestaciones por debajo de lo que el cliente está dispuesto a sacrificar en favor de la ecologÃa.
El resultado es un León visualmente tan atractivo como cualquier otro e igualmente ágil y rápido que el resto de versiones medias de la gama. El secreto para lograr combinar eficiencia y eficacia radica en gran parte en su nuevo motor 1.6 TDI con tecnologÃa Common Rail, que desarrolla 105 CV de potencia y que sin ninguna otra modificación ni ayuda aerodinámica ya logra situar sus emisiones en 119 g/km, lo mismo que certificaba la anterior generación del León Ecomotive.
Gracias a la presencia de nuevos sistemas y elementos para reducir el consumo, asà como un peso limitado a 1.320 kg, se han logrado rebajar 20 gramos adicionales. La incorporación de una caja de cambios manual de 5 velocidades con las relaciones alargadas, el sistema de arranque y parada automática Start & Stop y el dispositivo de recuperación de energÃa en las frenadas han contribuido con 18 gramos, mientras que una aerodinámica mejorada -el Cx pasa de 0,33 a 030- ha aportado los dos restantes. En este apartado destaca la presencia de una parrilla frontal cerrada, un spoiler inferior bajo el parachoques, unos pequeños deflectores frente a las ruedas, los bajos carenados y la utilización de neumáticos de baja resistencia a la rodadura con mayor presión de inflado.
Ecomotive Technology
Otro ejemplo de que es posible combinar la deportividad y la sostenibilidad en un mismo modelo lo encontramos en las versiones Ecomotive Technology del León, con todas las funciones y tecnologÃas propias de la gama Ecomotive pero con la estética deportiva (llantas de aleación de mayor diámetro, etcétera) y todo el equipamiento de los acabados superiores del compacto español. Esta opción intermedia sigue manteniendo unas cifras de consumo y emisiones (4,1 litros y 109 g) muy ajustadas.
